Từ trước đến nay, các Chùa ở VN đều có hình tượng của Địa Tạng Vương Bồ-Tát điêu khắc nguồn gốc từ bên Tàu ! (nhìn giống Ông Tam-Tạng !)
Bây giờ Tượng Ngài đang được khởi công tạc dựng theo kiến trúc Bắc Ấn Độ, hoàn toàn khác kiểu Trung-Quốc,!
Đặc biệt, tôi vừa nhận được email từ Tổ-Chức (Tượng Phật Ngọc bên Úc) :

Họ đang lạc quyên để xây dựng ĐỊA TẠNG VƯƠNG BỒ TÁT - KSITIGHARBA tại Việt Nam theo mẫu hình trên của điêu khắc bắc Ấn !
A massive statue of Ksitigharba is currently under production in Vietnam. The statue is to go in the South-East corner of the Great Stupa Gompa (immediately to your right as you enter the main temple). It will be 4.5 meters wide and rise to a height of nearly 7 meters.
Ksitigharba is the beloved Bodhisattva who vowed not to achieve Buddhahood until all the hells are emptied of suffering sentient beings. Lama Zopa Rinpoche felt it was important to have Ksitigharba represented in the main gompa of the Great Stupa and he has overseen every step of the design of the statue. We have been perfecting the artwork for several months and are currently into the fourth prototype of the statue.
The production of the Ksitigharba statue itself has been fully sponsored by a benefactor. Rejoice!
