Loại điện thoại của Micro-Phone không giống với những điện thoại “thông minh” hiện đang phổ biến trên thị trường như loại iPhone và Android. Thay vì tập trung vào những ứng dụng và những đặc tính cao cấp khác, loại điện thoại tí hon Micro-Phone lại muốn làm cho nó nhỏ, sao có thể bỏ túi được và cũng mang một số tính năng quan trọng như hệ thống định vị (GPS)....
Loại này có chiều dài 85mm, ngang 55mm và bề dầy chỉ có 5mm. Nó chỉ lớn bằng chiếc thẻ credit card nhưng dày hơn một chút, vì vậy có thể bỏ vào trong bóp mang đi bất cứ chỗ nào. Ngoài ra, điện thoại này sử dụng các tần số sóng 850, 900,1800, và 1900 nên hầu như ở nước nào cũng dùng được.
Vị trí của điện thoại này có thể thấy được nhờ sử dụng một ứng dụng trên smartphone, vì vậy phụ huynh có thể dùng nó để biết con cái đang ở đâu. Một ưu điểm khác là pin của điện thoại này có thể dùng tới 21 ngày nên rất phù hợp khi phải đi xa. Phía trên điện thoại cũng có một màn hình nhỏ 1.8 inch và nhiều chức năng cần thiết như sổ tay địa chỉ, máy tính .....
Theo dự trù của người sáng chế, điện thoại sẽ được bán với giá $79.
